Hello and welcome to The Soul Warrior Sanctuary.
I believe that beneath the fast pace of modern life, another, softer invitation quietly waits.
An invitation to pause.
To listen.
To remember.
Mythic Wellbeing is founded on a simple belief: that wellbeing is not merely the absence of illness, but the presence of meaning. It is the experience of belonging—to ourselves, to one another and to the living world that nourishes and sustains us.
For thousands of years, people have turned to stories to make sense of life’s greatest questions. Myths, folklore and sacred traditions have helped us navigate love and loss, courage and fear, endings and beginnings. Far from being relics of the past, these stories continue to illuminate the human experience and our fragile and precious time on this planet. They remind us that every life has seasons, every challenge can become a threshold, and every person carries an inner landscape longing for exploration.
Mythic Wellbeing has grown from years of study, practice and research across history, psychology, mythology, creativity, nature-based wellbeing and embodied therapeutic approaches. Rather than viewing these disciplines in isolation, it brings them into conversation with one another, recognising that each offers a different way of understanding what it means to flourish.
At The Soul Warrior Sanctuary, this philosophy comes to life through restorative therapies, reflective practice, creative expression, seasonal living and community. A soulful space where story sits alongside science, ritual alongside reflection, and ancient wisdom alongside contemporary understandings of wellbeing.
We believe that rest is an act of wisdom.
That creativity is essential to a meaningful life.
That nature is one of our greatest teachers.
That community helps us flourish.
That stories have the power to transform us.
And that healing is rarely about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who we have always been.
This philosophy is expressed through a concept of five living pillars:
Remember — exploring the stories, myths and archetypes that shape our lives.
Restore — supporting the body, mind and nervous system through restorative practice.
Root — reconnecting with nature, place and the wisdom of the seasons.
Create — embracing creativity as a pathway to expression, beauty and transformation.
Gather — nurturing belonging through shared experience, conversation and community.
The pillars for a sacred and natural temple, the temple of our bodies and our living breathing expression of that. They are all invitations to return to, no RSVP needed, just intention and some time to dedicate in a devotional way to ourselves.
Every therapy, gathering, retreat, artwork, article, book, meditation and ritual offered through the Soul Warrior Sanctuary grows from these pillars, forming an ecosystem of wellbeing that honours both timeless wisdom and contemporary sanctuary in our everyday environment.
Whether you begin with a treatment such as reiki, massage or sound healing, a guided story, a workshop or a quiet walk through the Sanctuary and its little living library, our hope is that you discover something deeply nurturing for you.
We hope you discover a way of living that feels slower, richer, more connected and more meaningful.
Welcome to Soul Warrior Sanctuary.
Welcome to Mythic Wellbeing.
A little more about me:
I’ve always been fascinated by the stories that shape us—not only the stories we inherit through our geography, history and mythology, but also the personal stories we carry within oI hearts and bodies.
My journey began with the study of History, where I developed a deep appreciation for the ways landscapes, cultures and traditions preserve the memory of those who came before us. History taught me to ask questions, to look beneath the surface, to value evidence and context, and to recognise that every place and every person carries layers of meaning waiting to be discovered.
That curiosity has remained at the heart of everything I do.
Over the years, my path expanded into psychotherapy, Reiki, Qoya embodied movement, meditation, sound healing, mythology and creative practice. While each discipline offered its own perspective, I found myself continually asking a larger question:
How do ancient stories help us live well today?
That question became the foundation of Mythic Wellbeing.
Today, my work brings together historical research, mythology, psychology, nature, creativity and embodied practice into an evolving philosophy that seeks to honour both scholarship and lived experience. I continue to research the mythology, folklore and sacred landscapes of Britain, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Scotland and the Isle of Man, exploring how these enduring traditions can deepen our understanding of wellbeing in the modern world.
Alongside my work at the Sanctuary, I write extensively, developing studies for books, articles, meditations, creative projects and educational resources inspired by this research. Every piece begins with curiosity and a desire to bridge the wisdom of the past with the often more fast paced realities of contemporary life.
The Soul Warrior Sanctuary has become the living expression of that philosophy—a place where people can experience Mythic Wellbeing through therapy, creativity, nature, ritual, learning and community.
I believe the heart of our wellbeing is something we tend with patience, curiosity and compassion throughout our lives. It is a privilege to walk alongside others on that journey and I’m so glad you’re here In a space where we can walk alongside each other in passion and purpose, with a wild and free spirit of connection and flow.
The Magazine
When I began writing and developing the magazine I wanted to create a sisterhood with the authors, co-creators, and readers; a place that was dedicated to the liberated and empowered female. Whether it is in one of my classes, workshops or retreats or within the pages of the magazine, the freedom to be your true self is key to development, growth and healing. On a continual path of learning and studying, my fervour for history has meant that my bedside table is always piled with books. Reading and discovering, critically thinking and having deep discussions with those around me, has always filled me with pleasure. A fizziness of poetic potency that over the years has been as much medicinal as it has been about the desire to learn more and more.

I began the Soul Warrior path after writing a series of poems based on an adventure back to myself. Some were just late night musings, others more conscious truths but they all searched for strength, courage and meaning. As I travelled into the dark night of the soul I discovered a well of wisdom. I have made some of my poems into films of which you can view a couple of them on the page "The Letters I Never Sent".
At the beginning it was murky, harsh, cruel and unforgiving but eventually the swampiness cleared and the crystaline waters emerged. I yearned to create a paradise within, making peace a reality niot a goal.
I have embraced working with my shadow self and now incorporate this learning into the courses I write, the classes I teach and the book I am writing called " The Letters I Never Sent." Taking all aspects of who we are as a dance partner has been one of the most healing experiences for me and thanks to Qoya, it pretty much saved my life. And now training as a therapist after my time with therapy and ongoing therapy has become an integral element of my practice both personally and professionally.
By living intentionally and with purpose I have found that it is possible to find my tribe, ancient soulmates and come together with heartfelt connection. I am learning to embrace all aspects of life from a space of curiosity and living truthfully is integral to my health.

Make creating a pleasure playground.
I am lucky enough to have nature on my doorstep, living in the heart of the High Weald in East Sussex. During lockdown I discovered secret pockets of countryside and magical spaces to both create and heal. There is the most spectacular sunflower field that continues for as far as the eye can see round the corner from my home. Facing the sun, the strong and courageous sunflower stands tall and strong in adversity. Sunflowers symbolise faith and adoration and a loyalty to something more grandeoise than itself. Reflecting self-respect and authenticity, the golden flower is a potent symbol for our hopes and dreams.
The four elements became companions and guides in many ways. The local goat farm also held a real fascination and as a Capricorn woman I loved the skittish, energetic integrity of our horned furry friends. We talk alot about being" in nature" but really "we are nature". The gratitude I have for this sacred land always centres me and I cannot wait to share this with you, wherever you are in the world.

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
Storytelling is one of the most ancient forms of communication, as old as time itself. Whimsical tales of mystery and majesty transport our imagination to other worlds. I have worked in the retail industry for over 25 years now and love developing memorable stories and experiences through the emotional connection of words and images.
As a Mum to one amazing 18 year old daughter, I’ve found writing a wonderful way to capture those inspiring moments, hard and joyful experiences of parenthood, childhood and becoming an adult.
